Love vs Fear

Love and Confidence vs Fear and Pride

Part of the framework · 5 min read

Society reflects our thoughts. Perfectly. From evil to beauty and everything in between. Thoughts build upon themselves. They contain structure. Peel the layers, discover their lineage. More thoughts, until we arrive at two. A growl of fear and a breath of love, the two roots of thought.

What is fear? An emotion, a thought, the fourth dimension, the why. What is the world we construct when guided by fear?

Our world takes the shape of a bubble, defense from perceived harm. Afraid of attack, loss, afraid to move without your horde. Fear constructs a world of defense, rejection, hate, envy, greed, of sabotage.

Fear protects us from the outside, from intruders real or perceived, from everyone who only wishes us pain. Fear comforts our suffering, consoles our grief. How?

We lay traps all over our world. We don’t let anyone in, for they may discover the torn child inside who yearns to breathe. But stifles in fear.

The child isn’t bad. We’re not evil. We want good. We want love, yet intruders attack. Why does everyone attack? What have I done? We’re not the cause, but we must defend.

Our bubble repels invaders, raiders, those who wish abuse. The child is safe inside, protected from within. Everyone else is at fault, not me. I’m the only one who understands.

Our internal shield, our protection from the hate we spill into the world. It soothes, it comforts. The child cuddles in the blanket of pride, the great camouflage. Our internal shield from the world we built based on fear.

Decisions based on fear, and pride camouflages the ego. We want to keep what’s ours, including the comfort to repel fault. Shattered mirrors abound, for the child sees the person they want to be in askew. We don’t yearn torment upon ourselves.

We live the way we think we do, as opposed to how we actually do. We recognize faults in others, but not ourselves. The Caged Jungle of pride hides the truth, protects us from the fear of facing our ego. With fear at the wheel, abuse, hatred, and greed corrupt our despicable world.

Fear and pride. Thoughts based on fear. We built the Caged Jungle, this world by succumbing to fear. Our effort based on fear.

But it’s not our fault. Others contributed, played their role. Always others. Never the scared child inside embraced by the sympathetic veil of pride. And we rumble forward in our decisions based on fear.

What is love? An emotion, a thought, the fourth dimension, the why. What is the world we construct when guided by love?

Our world fosters growth. Freedom to explore, learn, help. Love constructs a world of care, respect, charity. A family forged of help, not obligation.

Love ripples through everyone, everything. The energy of the universe unfolds the gift of love. What shall we do with it? Let it be.

Help love’s mission travel the world, the universe. Let it infect thought after thought. Let it help. Let it nurture a flower, tree, the wind. The energy of the universe.

Nobody hurts or harms, trips or pushes. Nobody’s out to get you. A world where help abounds without regard for ego. Our efforts help when guided by love.

If we help someone only to bring joy to ourselves, or worse yet, to gain, who are we helping? A selfish abuse of help. Would the energy of the universe help us for its own sake, or for ours?

Love is selfless, and therefore our help must be selfless. Otherwise we’re right back to fear. Selfishness is fear of loss. Selfishness manifests out of fear, not love.

We must help for the sake of the next person, not ourselves. A subtle deceit of pride will not stand. A world constructed of love helps. It doesn’t take, not glory nor thanks. No commission nor pride.

A world of love nurtures a child through challenges toward life’s purpose. And the child must live with confidence in this world of love. A journey into the world of love without fear, without abuse.

Decisions based on love, and confidence to carry through. The child mustn’t cower to fear, corrupt the world into the realm of fear. Confident steps on their life’s plan in a world constructed of love. The energy of the universe conspires to help.

Our world, our canvas, our battle between love and fear. If fear dominates, we build the cruel world of torture and abuse. If love dominates, we build the beauty and care in a world of help.

If I build a world of love, will another person build a world of fear? Will my help fall victim to another’s duplicity? Will I walk into a trap? Yeah, maybe.

Love and confidence vs fear and pride. Which world do we build? The Caged Jungle torments out of fear. Love lets it be, amplifying the light. Love discards the chains of fear and the deceit of pride.

The energy of the universe shines light on us, so too must we shine light on everyone. Be the light, help the light, help the energy of the universe.

How does this world of love function? It’s not just a land of flowers and butterflies. What is it to live in a world of love? Dig deeper. Help and care. Selfless.

Perhaps my struggle for definition beyond concept fails vocabulary rooted in the Caged Jungle. I can’t define it in terms based on fear. Perhaps it’s enough to know what it isn’t, fear. Complex systems are only required in a world of fear. Many of those systems are the traps. A sad commentary on our society.

It all comes back to love. Perhaps spiritual ambassadors, gurus, and folklore prophets were on to something simple. It all comes back to love. And the confidence to believe, the courage to overcome challenges.

Love is a thought, yet it takes confidence to build a world based on love. Love will cower to fear without confidence. Fear is also a thought, yet it reveals its deceit without the shield of pride. Love extinguishes fear as a light in the dark.

The Caged Jungle is everyone’s thoughts of love and fear in battle. And here we are. Each of us. At the center of it all. A choice. Free will. We choose to follow love or fear. We construct the world of our choosing.

We can live in a world of decisions based on love, with the confidence to carry through. Or we can live in a world of decisions based on fear, with pride to camouflage the ego. Imagine a world where everyone only helps each other? Cliche, I know, but that’s it right there. That’s all it is.

We’re here to learn, grow, help, thrive, to love.
